I don’t want to appear as if I know everything and I don’t want my children to think I expect my new grandchild to be raised my way. I would like my children to come to me for advice and I’d hope to give them the best advice for their situation but…
it could come across as controlling or interfering. No one wants that.
The best solution is to give a book as a gift. You don’t look to obvious and the new parents can read the book at their leisure, or perhaps I should say, as needed because new parents don’t get a lot of time for leisure.
I have my old favourite books on child raising and babycare but I’ve noticed some good new ones too.
I’ll let you know about some of them soon. You’ve probably got some favourites of your own. Let us know if you would like to share.
