New Granny

My children grew up with dogs in the family. We had collies They look like Lassie) and I can recommend them as he best family dog breed ever.
I intend my grandchild(ren) to grow up with free access to dogs, too.
There’s nothing to compare to the concern and love you get from a dog when you’re feeling down. It’s great for kids to be able to confide in the family dog- especially if they feel they can’t tell mum or dad, and grandma isn’t around.
You have to be sensible with dogs and children. Never leave a dog unattended with a small child or baby, as all dogs are capable of biting, and they are at risk from a small child, too.
My children have many fond memories of the times they spent with the dogs, and I’m sure my grandchildren will have special memories, too.
